In season 9 episode 4 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives titled "Bringin' It Home," host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a culinary tour of some of America's most delicious hometown spots. From San Diego to Cleveland, Fieri visits five different eateries that specialize in comfort food and unforgettable flavors.

First up is a tiny spot called The Goat in Portsmouth, Virginia. Serving up fresh seafood and Southern-style cuisine, including pork belly tacos and crab cakes, The Goat has quickly become a local favorite. Fieri chats with the owners, who share their passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients in every dish.

Next, Fieri heads to San Diego to check out Cheba Hut, a unique sandwich shop that combines classic subs with a love for all things cannabis. With menu items like the "White Widow" and the "Kush" sandwich, Cheba Hut is a trip for your taste buds. Fieri meets the owner and learns about the shop's playful atmosphere and love of all things stoner culture.

In Cleveland, Fieri visits a diner called Lucky's Cafe, which is known for its fresh, made-from-scratch breakfast and brunch dishes. The owner, who has a background in fine dining, brings an upscale sensibility to classic dishes like French toast and biscuits and gravy. Fieri tries the "Big Egg" sandwich, made with a giant fried egg and topped with bacon, avocado, and chipotle mayo.

Moving on to Denver, Fieri visits the Grateful Gnome, a gastropub with an impressive selection of craft beer and creative pub fare. The head chef, who has a background in molecular biology, infuses his dishes with unusual ingredients and flavor combinations. Fieri samples dishes like the "Duck, Duck, Gnome" burger and the "Beer-Brined Chicken and Waffles."

Finally, Fieri heads to Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to check out Angie's Grom, a sweet little spot known for its homemade ice cream and unique flavors. From "Salty Beach" (salted caramel) to "Mickey's Kitchen Sink" (a tribute to Disney World's iconic dessert), Angie's Grom has something for every sweet tooth. Fieri chats with the owner, who shares her philosophy on using fresh, quality ingredients and supporting local farmers.

Throughout the episode, Fieri takes viewers behind the scenes to meet the owners, chefs, and staff who make each restaurant a special place. He also shares his own insights and opinions on the dishes he tries, offering up his signature brand of enthusiastic and authentic critiques.
