Doug is an animated show that first aired in 1991 and ran for 7 seasons, totalling 117 episodes. The show follows a young boy named Doug Funnie as he moves to a new town and navigates the ups and downs of growing up.

In season 2 episode 10, titled "Doug On The Trail / Doug Meets RoboBone", Doug sets out on a wilderness camping trip with his Junior Woodchuck troop. The episode begins with Doug packing his backpack and preparing for the trip, excited to leave the city behind and spend some time in nature. However, things quickly start to go wrong as Doug realizes he's not quite as capable in the great outdoors as he thought.

Doug struggles to keep up with the other scouts as they hike deeper into the forest, tripping over roots and getting tangled in vines. He can barely keep his heavy backpack on his shoulders, and his tent collapses on him several times as he tries to set it up. Even worse, he realizes he forgot to bring a can opener for his food and has to resort to gnawing on stale crackers. As Doug's confidence plummets, he begins to feel homesick and desperate to return to the comforts of his own bed.

Just as Doug's morale reaches its lowest point, he comes across a strange robotic dog named RoboBone. RoboBone is equipped with all sorts of high-tech gear, including built-in GPS, a super-strong motor, and even a retractable cable that can lift heavy objects. Doug is fascinated by RoboBone and decides to follow him deeper into the woods.

As they explore together, Doug starts to feel more and more confident. RoboBone helps him navigate through the wilderness using his GPS, and he assists Doug in hauling heavy logs and building a shelter. For the first time, Doug feels like he's actually contributing to the group and proving his worth as a Junior Woodchuck.

However, as night falls, Doug realizes that he's lost track of the other scouts and has no idea where their campsite is. To make matters worse, RoboBone's battery is running low, and they're in danger of being stuck in the forest overnight with no shelter or protection from the elements.

Doug and RoboBone must work together to find their way back to camp before it's too late. Along the way, they encounter all sorts of obstacles, including a raging river and a family of skunks. Despite the challenges, Doug refuses to give up, knowing that he's come too far to turn back now.

In the end, Doug and RoboBone find their way back to the campsite just as the other scouts are getting ready to launch a search party. Doug is relieved to be reunited with his friends and proud of himself for having overcome his fears and proved his worth as a scout. As the episode ends, Doug says goodbye to his new robotic friend, grateful for the confidence and skills RoboBone helped him to discover.

Overall, "Doug On The Trail / Doug Meets RoboBone" is a fun and heartwarming episode that teaches kids the value of perseverance, teamwork, and embracing new challenges. It's also a great introduction to the Junior Woodchuck organization, a key aspect of the Doug universe.
