Feeling overwhelmed, Nagisa doubts her powers as a Pretty Cure and her ability to protect her loved ones.

Meanwhile, the Dark Zone commanders are concocting a new plan to steal the Prism Stones, only this time they have enlisted the help of a powerful ally named Gekidrago. To ensure the success of their mission, Gekidrago poses as a toy maker and creates a new line of plush toys that are specifically designed to drain the energy of anyone who hugs them.

As Nagisa continues to wallow in self-doubt, her friends pick up on her gloomy mood and decide to throw her a surprise birthday party to lift her spirits. However, things take a turn for the worse when the plush toys created by Gekidrago are distributed at the party, causing Nagisa, Honoka, and their friends to become weak and lethargic.

Realizing the threat that the plush toys pose, Nagisa refuses to give up and instead draws strength from her friends and family, activating her powers as a Pretty Cure and taking on Gekidrago in a fierce battle. Despite the odds stacked against them, Nagisa and Honoka persist in their fight and ultimately emerge victorious, freeing their friends and preventing the Dark Zone from obtaining any of the Prism Stones.
