Gargoyles Season 1 Episode 10 The Edge

Gargoyles season 1 episode 10, titled "The Edge," follows the gargoyles as they continue to adjust to life in New York City. The episode begins with Goliath and Hudson on patrol when they come across a group of Rednecks harassing a group of homeless people. Goliath confronts the Rednecks and scares them off, but one of them, named Rory, vows revenge against Goliath.

The next day, Elisa takes Goliath and Brooklyn to meet their new ally, Maria Chavez, and her partner Matt Bluestone. They show the gargoyles a videotape of an attempted robbery at a jewelry store that was thwarted by a mysterious figure wearing a high-tech suit. The video also shows the perpetrator going through walls and disappearing into thin air.

The gargoyles are intrigued by the technology and ask Maria and Matt for more information. Maria tells them that the high-tech suit was stolen from the company Xanatos Enterprises, and that the company has been keeping quiet about the robbery.

Goliath, Brooklyn, and Elisa decide to investigate Xanatos Enterprises and break in after hours to look for clues. Inside, they discover that the company has an entire room full of high-tech weaponry, including the suit that they saw in the video. Elisa also finds a folder with her name on it, containing information about her family and personal life.

As they are leaving, they are discovered by Xanatos, who invites them to his office for a meeting. Xanatos is not angry about the break-in and seems genuinely interested in getting to know the gargoyles. He even offers to help them solve the mystery of the high-tech suit.

The next day, Goliath, Brooklyn, and Elisa meet with Xanatos and his assistant, Owen Burnett, at an abandoned warehouse. Xanatos shows them the suit and explains that it was designed as a tool for industrial espionage. He also reveals that the suit has a dangerous flaw – it is powered by a volatile energy source that can explode if it overheats.

Just as Xanatos is demonstrating the suit's abilities, Rory and his gang arrive, seeking revenge on Goliath. A battle ensues, with the gargoyles and Xanatos fighting off Rory and his thugs. During the battle, the suit is damaged and begins to heat up, putting everyone in danger.

Goliath is forced to enter the suit and use its abilities to subdue Rory and his gang. He is successful, but the suit begins to overheat, putting Goliath in danger. Xanatos, seeing Goliath in trouble, uses his technology to cool down the suit and save Goliath's life.

After the battle, Xanatos offers to help the gargoyles in any way he can, but Goliath is skeptical of his intentions. He thanks Xanatos for his help but tells him that the gargoyles will remain independent.

The episode ends with Goliath, Brooklyn, and Elisa returning to their home on top of the police station, still puzzled by Xanatos's motives.
