In season 14 episode 5 of Ghost Adventures, the team heads to Kansas to investigate the historic Harvey House hotel. Located in downtown Florence, the Harvey House was built in 1871 and served as a popular stop for travelers on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railway.
The team meets with the current owners of the hotel, who have experienced strange occurrences such as objects moving on their own and disembodied voices. The team sets up their equipment and begins their investigation, starting with the basement where they pick up on unusual EVPs, or electronic voice phenomena.
They then move to the second floor where they feel a strong presence and capture a shadow figure on camera. As they investigate the remaining floors, they discover that the hotel was once used as a hospital during the influenza outbreak of 1918, which may explain the high amount of paranormal activity.
The team also learns that the Harvey House was involved in a tragic incident in which a young girl fell from the roof and died. They attempt to communicate with her spirit and capture some compelling evidence.
In addition to their investigations within the hotel, the team also explores the surrounding area including a nearby cemetery and an abandoned church. They discover that the church was once used for satanic rituals and conduct a special ritual of their own to try and cleanse the area.
Throughout the episode, the team stays overnight at the Harvey House and experiences several terrifying encounters, including doors opening and closing on their own and hearing unexplained footsteps. As they conclude their investigation, they believe that the hotel is indeed haunted and that the spirits are likely connected to the hotel's tumultuous past.
Overall, this episode of Ghost Adventures provides a chilling look into the history of the Harvey House hotel and the paranormal activity that may be lurking within its walls. The team's investigations and discoveries are sure to captivate viewers and leave them questioning the existence of the supernatural.
