In the ninth episode of Ghost Adventures’ seventeenth season, the team travels to St. Anne’s Retreat in Logan Canyon, Utah, to investigate claims of paranormal activity. St. Anne’s Retreat was once a Catholic school for girls, but it was later converted into a home for troubled youth before it eventually closed down in 2002. The old building is now used for ghost tours and paranormal investigations.
Upon arriving at St. Anne’s Retreat, Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley meet with the property’s owner, who shares stories of strange occurrences and unexplained phenomena. The team splits up into pairs to investigate various areas of the building. Zak and Aaron explore the basement, where they feel a strong presence and hear disembodied voices. Billy and Jay investigate a bathroom where a young girl is said to have drowned, and they capture some unsettling EVPs (electronic voice phenomena).
Throughout the investigation, the team uses a variety of high-tech equipment to capture evidence of the paranormal. They utilize thermal imaging cameras, EVP recorders, and even a spirit box, which picks up on radio frequencies to allow spirits to communicate with the team.
The investigation at St. Anne’s Retreat becomes increasingly intense as the night wears on. Zak and Aaron explore the upper floors of the building and encounter what they believe to be the spirit of a former student named Anna. Billy and Jay investigate the chapel and capture some chilling EVPs that seem to indicate a malevolent presence.
As the investigation draws to a close, the team regroups to review the evidence they’ve gathered. They are shocked by what they find, including a clear EVP of a child’s voice saying “help me” and what appears to be a shadow figure captured on camera.
Overall, the investigation at St. Anne’s Retreat proves to be one of the team’s most compelling and chilling cases yet. Viewers are left wondering what other secrets may be hidden within the walls of the old Catholic school and what other spirits may still be lingering there.
