Ep 1. Crescent Hotel

Zak Bagans and his team kick off season 21 of Ghost Adventures with a visit to the Crescent Hotel, a historic landmark in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, that has been dubbed "America's most haunted hotel." The episode begins with a brief history of the hotel, which was first built in 1886 as a luxury resort for the wealthy elite. However, financial troubles and a series of failed business ventures caused the hotel to change hands many times, eventually falling into disrepair and earning a reputation as a "cancer hospital" that preyed on the terminally ill.

Bagans and his crew arrive at the hotel with high hopes of encountering the many spirits that are said to haunt its halls. They are greeted by Keith Scales, the hotel's resident historian and ghost tour guide, who tells them about some of the most famous ghostly sightings at the Crescent, including a ghostly nurse who wanders the halls, a little girl who plays pranks on guests, and a doctor who performs phantom surgeries.

The team begins their investigation by exploring the basement of the hotel, which was once used as a morgue and is believed to be a hotbed of paranormal activity. They set up their equipment and soon begin to detect strange energy readings and unexplained sounds. Scales joins them in the basement and tells them about a particularly gruesome incident that occurred there in the hotel's early days, when a worker accidentally fell into a vat of boiling water and was scalded to death.

Next, Bagans and his crew head up to the fourth floor of the hotel, which is reputed to be the most haunted of all. Here, they encounter a number of strange occurrences, including a door that opens and closes on its own and a mysterious orb of light that seems to be following them. They also use a device called an Ovilus, which is believed to translate spirit energy into words, and are startled to hear it produce the word "murder."

As the investigation continues, the team explores other areas of the hotel, including the lobby, the annex, and even the rooftop. They use a variety of high-tech gadgets such as thermal imaging cameras, EMF detectors, and a device that creates a magnetic field to try and provoke paranormal activity. At one point, Bagans claims to feel a cold breeze and suddenly becomes visibly emotional, telling his crew that he is feeling the presence of a very negative energy.

Ultimately, the investigation yields a number of intriguing findings and leaves the team convinced that the Crescent Hotel is indeed haunted. Along the way, they also learn more about the hotel's fascinating history and hear some truly chilling stories from Scales and other locals. For fans of Ghost Adventures, this episode is a thrilling and compelling start to what promises to be another great season.
