Ep 7. The Chinatown Poltergeist

In Ghost Adventures season 23 episode 7, titled "The Chinatown Poltergeist," the fearless team of investigators – Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley, and Billy Tolley – travel to Los Angeles to investigate a case that is unlike any other they have encountered before. The episode begins with Zak receiving a call from an anonymous source about a terrifying presence that has been causing havoc in a residential building located in the heart of Chinatown. The residents of the building claim to have experienced a range of unexplainable phenomena, including objects moving on their own, strange whispers and voices, and even physical attacks.

As the team arrives at the building, they are greeted by the frantic residents who tell them about their experiences and the history of the place. The building, it turns out, was once a Chinese opera house that had been converted into a living space for several families. But, according to the residents, the building's past may have something to do with the strange occurrences they are experiencing today. The team sets up their equipment and begins their investigation by exploring the different floors of the building.

As they explore the building, they encounter several eerie phenomena, including strange noises, EVPs, and cold spots. In one instance, Zak and Aaron hear what they believe is a voice coming from a bathroom, but when they check it out, they find nothing. They also discover a hidden basement that is believed to have been used for opium dens during the building's days as a Chinese opera house. The team then splits up to cover more ground, with Jay and Billy investigating the basement and Zak and Aaron exploring the upper floors.

During their investigation, the team captures several pieces of compelling evidence. At one point, Jay and Billy pick up a strange EVP that sounds like a woman whispering in Chinese. They also capture what appears to be a shadow figure darting across the floor. Meanwhile, Zak and Aaron experience a series of strange occurrences, including a chair moving on its own and a loud banging sound. They also capture what appears to be a shadow figure lurking in the background of one of their shots.

As the night wears on, the team begins to feel increasingly uneasy. Zak, in particular, seems to be affected by the presence in the building and becomes more agitated as the investigation goes on. In one chilling moment, he even begins to speak in Cantonese, a language he does not speak or understand.

Towards the end of the episode, the team gathers together to review the evidence they have collected. They discover multiple EVPs, unexplained noises, and even what appears to be an apparition captured on camera. They piece together the building's history and uncover several tragic events that occurred on the premises, including a deadly fire and a mysterious death of a woman who may have been murdered.

In the end, the team concludes that the building is indeed haunted by a malevolent presence, possibly a poltergeist, that is responsible for the unexplainable phenomena the residents have been experiencing. They also express their concern for the safety of the residents and the need for a proper cleansing of the building to remove the negative energy and protect the people who live there. Another investigation is successfully concluded, but the haunting presence of the Chinatown Poltergeist may stay with the team for a long time to come.
