Ep 2. Sloss Furnaces

In Ghost Asylum season 2 episode 2 titled "Sloss Furnaces," the team of paranormal investigators from the Tennessee Wraith Chasers sets out to explore an infamous haunted site - Sloss Furnaces. Today, it is speculated to be one of the most haunted sites in America, with numerous reports of eerie sightings, unexplained noises, and ghostly apparitions.

The episode begins with the team arriving at the Sloss Furnaces, excited to explore the paranormal activity that has been reported at the site for decades. As they enter the massive industrial complex, they are instantly struck by the eerie silence that permeates the air, broken only by the sound of their own footsteps. The team decides to split up into two groups to cover more ground. The first group, consisting of Chris, Brannon, and Doogie, goes to the old power plant to investigate reports of strange noises and apparitions seen by previous visitors. The second group, made up of Chase and Porter, heads to the boiler house to investigate reports of shadow figures and voices.

As they begin their investigation, the team starts to experience unexplained occurrences, including sudden cold spots, strange noises, and feelings of being watched. In the power plant, Chris, Brannon, and Doogie use specialized equipment to detect any changes in the electromagnetic field that could indicate the presence of spirits. They explore different areas of the facility and encounter many strange occurrences, including hearing disembodied voices, seeing shadow figures, and experiencing unexplained feelings of fear and panic. Brannon even has a close encounter with what he believes is a ghostly apparition.

Meanwhile, in the boiler house, Chase and Porter also encounter numerous occurrences, including hearing strange noises, feeling cold spots, and seeing what appears to be a shadow figure lurking in the darkness. They use various tools to try and communicate with any spirits present, including EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recordings and a spirit box. They ask different questions, but receive few responses, leading them to believe that the spirits may not be interested in communicating.

As the night progresses, the team becomes increasingly frustrated with their lack of evidence. They decide to regroup and focus their attention on one specific area, the casting shed. This area is said to be one of the most active locations in Sloss Furnaces, with reports of apparitions, disembodied voices, and figures moving in the shadows. As the team begins to investigate, they experience a flurry of activity, including hearing unexplained noises and feeling an intense sense of dread. However, despite their best efforts, they are unable to capture any concrete evidence, leaving them frustrated and disappointed.

In the end, the team concludes that Sloss Furnaces is indeed a haunted site, with numerous reports of paranormal activity from both visitors and employees. However, they also conclude that the ghosts at Sloss may be reluctant to communicate, or simply too elusive to capture on camera. Despite their lack of tangible evidence, the TWC team remains convinced that something otherworldly is at work at the Sloss Furnaces, and that further investigation may be necessary to unlock the secrets of this mysterious site.
