Tarou and Masayuki decide to investigate and break into the research lab where Tarou works. They use a device to facilitate lucid dreaming to try and find the truth about the cattle mutilations.

The episode ends with Masayuki having a lucid dream where he relives the day of his abduction. He sees the serial killer's face clearly and eventually wakes up, finally remembering the abductor's identity.
