The second episode of Hundred Year Inheritance picks up where the first left off, with the Han family reeling from Grandpa Han's decision to leave his wealth to the last person he touched on his deathbed - his mistreated granddaughter, Ja-eun. Tensions are already high between family members, with Han Ji-hoon, the eldest son, feeling betrayed and Han Yoo-kyung, the second daughter-in-law, convinced that Ja-eun must have manipulated her way into favor.

Meanwhile, Ja-eun is still processing the sudden change in her fortunes. She's been living a difficult life, struggling to make ends meet and taking care of her grandmother, who suffers from dementia. She's never been close to the Han family, and she's not sure she even wants to be now that she's become their enemy by default.

As Ja-eun tries to navigate this new world of wealth and privilege, she finds unexpected allies in her half-siblings, Han Ji-man and Han Soo-kyung. Ji-man is a kind-hearted chef who is initially skeptical of Ja-eun but gradually comes to see her as a person worth getting to know. Soo-kyung is a high-powered lawyer who sees Ja-eun's situation as a fascinating legal challenge - and a chance to prove herself to her father.

The older Han siblings, however, are less welcoming. Ji-hoon is furious that his father's legacy is being taken away, and he sees Ja-eun as a threat to everything he's worked for. Yoo-kyung, meanwhile, is jealous of Ja-eun's newfound status and the attention she's receiving from her father-in-law.

As the family dynamic shifts, secrets start to come to light. Ji-hoon's wife, Ha No-ra, is hiding a drinking problem and a past infidelity. Soo-kyung's husband, Lee Se-yoon, is struggling with debt and his own insecurities. And the Han patriarch himself, despite his apparent cruelty to Ja-eun, is revealed to have a softer side that he hid from his family for decades.

In the midst of all this turmoil, Ja-eun tries to stay true to herself and her values. She's not interested in revenge or in becoming a pawn in her family's power struggles. Instead, she tries to forge her own path, taking on odd jobs and reconnecting with her childhood friend, Joo-hee.

But it quickly becomes clear that Ja-eun's presence is causing ripples that she can't control. When she starts dating Ji-man, he becomes a target of his brother's wrath. Yoo-kyung starts digging into her background, convinced that she must have some ulterior motive. And Ja-eun herself is plagued by doubts about whether she deserves the Han family's wealth and protection.

As the episode ends, the Han family is at a crossroads. Will they be able to come together and accept each other despite their flaws and differences? Or will their greed and bitterness tear them apart? And what role will Ja-eun play in the family's future? Only time will tell in this gripping family drama.
