Thankfully, her friends pick up on Haruka's distress and decide to confront her about their secret. They reveal that they have been planning a surprise event for Haruka during the cultural festival, and the reason she couldn't read their thoughts was because they were intentionally blocking her out to keep the surprise a secret.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Haruka breaks down in tears and apologizes to her friends for not trusting them. She realizes that she has been so focused on her own fears and insecurities that she forgot to have faith in the people who care about her.

In the end, Haruka decides to stay in school and participate in the festival with her friends. The episode ends on a heartwarming note, with Haruka finally feeling like she belongs and has a place in the world.
