Mayo Chiki! is an animated television show centered on the character Subaru Konoe, a high school student serving as the butler of Kanade Suzutsuki. Subaru appears to be intelligent, handsome, strong, and aloof-- in short, a perfect butler. Classmate Kinjirou ("Jirou") Sakamachi blunders upon Subaru's big secret. This butler is actually a girl! If she is found out, she'll be fired from service as Suzutski's butler. Her job as butler means the world to her, so Subaru will do anything to not let her secret out. Now that Jirou knows her secret, he can't escape Subaru or Suzutski, but he also may not want to. Mayo Chiki! follows the tumultuous and comedic daily life of these three characters as they overcome various obstacles both from other classmates and while out in the city. As they learn more about each other, Subaru and Jirou discover they might not dislike each other after all.
