Ep 2. After School Stride

After School Stride is the second episode of the first season of Mikagura School Suite. In this episode, we continue following our protagonist, Eruna Ichinomiya, as she starts her first day of high school at Mikagura Academy.

After the intense battle with Seisa Mikagura, Eruna is looking forward to some much-needed downtime. She heads over to the clubroom to meet with her newly formed club, the Going-Home Club. However, she quickly discovers that the other members, Otone Fujishiro and Himi Yasaka, have gone back to their respective clubs.

Feeling a bit disheartened, Eruna sets out to find a new club to join. She visits several clubs, but none of them seem to spark her interest. Eventually, she stumbles upon the Stride Club, a group dedicated to a sport called Stride. Stride is essentially a relay race done on foot, where a team of six takes turns sprinting and jumping over obstacles.

Despite knowing nothing about the sport, Eruna is immediately smitten with the team's captain, Kyoma Kuzuryu. She decides to join the club on a whim, much to Kyoma's surprise. He warns her that being a striker, or the team's lead runner, is a high-pressure position, but Eruna is undeterred.

The rest of the episode follows Eruna as she tries to learn the ins and outs of Stride. She struggles at first, but her determination and athleticism begin to pay off. She starts developing a bond with the other members of the Stride Club, and they begin to rely on her as their striker.

Meanwhile, we get a glimpse into the rivalries between the different Stride teams at Mikagura Academy. The Honan Academy team, led by the charismatic Heath Hasekura, is seen as the golden boys of the sport. They are heavily favored to win the upcoming Stride tournament, and the other teams are eager to take them down a peg.

As the episode comes to a close, Eruna and the Stride Club prepare for their first official match against a team from Mikagura Academy's middle school. The outcome of the match is anyone's guess, but Eruna has proven that she has the heart of a true Stride athlete.
