In Nisemonogatari season 1 episode 1, titled "Karen Bee, Part 1," we are reintroduced to the protagonist of the Monogatari series, Koyomi Araragi, as he arrives home after spending the day with his girlfriend, Hitagi Senjougahara. He is welcomed by his younger sister Karen, who is practicing her martial arts moves. Karen reveals that she has been involved in a strange case that involves her friend, Tsukihi. It seems that Tsukihi has been possessed by a supernatural entity known as a bee. Karen asks her brother for his help in figuring out how to deal with this problem.

Araragi is hesitant to get involved in Karen's case, as he has had several run-ins with supernatural entities in the past and has suffered great injuries as a result. However, Karen convinces him to take on the case, claiming that it's a matter of family honor. Araragi decides to investigate the matter further and begins by asking Karen a series of questions about the nature of the bee possession.

Karen reveals that Tsukihi has been acting strange lately and has been experiencing pains in her stomach. She has also started speaking in strange tongues and has lost memory of the events that transpire during her possession. Araragi determines that this is likely caused by a supernatural entity that has taken residence in Tsukihi's body, and he sets out to figure out how to exorcise the entity.

Araragi consults with his friend and mentor, Meme Oshino, for advice on how to deal with the bee possession. Oshino tells him that the bee is likely a spirit that is drawn to the energy of people who practice martial arts, as Karen does. He advises Araragi to strike a deal with the bee, offering it a new host in exchange for leaving Tsukihi's body. Araragi is hesitant to follow this advice, as he doesn't want to harm anyone else in the process.

As Araragi continues his investigation, he discovers that there are other people in the town who have been affected by the bee possession. He meets with a woman named Yozuru Kagenui, who claims to be a specialist in dealing with supernatural cases. Kagenui tells Araragi that the bee is not a spirit, but rather a creature that feeds on the energy of people who are physically fit and healthy. She advises him to eliminate the bee as quickly as possible, as it can cause great harm to its host.

As the episode draws to a close, Araragi is left to ponder his options. He is torn between following Oshino's advice and striking a deal with the bee or taking Kagenui's advice and eliminating the creature. He realizes that he must act quickly, as Tsukihi's health is rapidly deteriorating.

"Karen Bee, Part 1" sets the stage for the rest of the Nisemonogatari series, introducing us to new characters and a new case for Araragi to solve. The episode is filled with intricate dialogues and mysterious happenings, leaving the viewer eager to see what will happen next. The animation is masterful, with a unique style that perfectly captures the surreal and otherworldly atmosphere of the Monogatari series. Overall, "Karen Bee, Part 1" is an excellent start to an intriguing and thought-provoking series.
