Ep 7. Butterfly Entangled in a Spider's Web

The episode Butterfly Entangled in a Spider's Web is the seventh episode of the third season of the anime Overlord. As the title suggests, the episode explores the story of a beautiful butterfly caught in a spider's web. This is a metaphor for how powerful and ruthless Demiurge can be, and how he is always seeking to further his own goals.

The episode takes place in the fifth floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Sebas, the faithful butler of Ainz Ooal Gown, is heading to the warehouse to pick up some items when he witnesses a strange scene. There is a group of invading sentient cockroaches trying to loot the items in the warehouse. Sebas swiftly defeats them and takes their leader captive. He then realizes that these cockroaches might be working for someone else.

Meanwhile, Demiurge is hosting a meeting with Albedo, his sibling Cocytus, and the maid NPCs of Nazarick. Here, he reveals his master plan to them. He wants to create a new race of creatures that will be loyal to Ainz Ooal Gown. These beings, called "heteromorphic orcs," will be powerful, loyal, and ferocious. Demiurge believes that they will become another powerful asset to Nazarick, who will help them conquer the rest of the world.

The plan, however, has a few complications. Demiurge needs to get his hands on a specific item to create these beings - a "World Item" called "Ginnungagap." This item allows the user to manipulate space and create new dimensions. Demiurge believes that this item is somewhere in E-Rantel, the nearby city.

At the same time, Ainz Ooal Gown is dealing with his own problems. He has recently discovered that a powerful group of adventurers called the "Black Scripture" have entered his domain. He is not sure what their intentions are, but he is suspicious of them. Ainz decides to send his strongest guardians to deal with them.

Back in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Sebas has taken the leader of the cockroaches to Solution, the healing maid of Nazarick. Solution tortures the cockroach until he reveals that he was hired to steal from the warehouses by a group of humans. Sebas decides to investigate this further.

The episode ends with Demiurge sending out teams of powerful NPCs to raid various parts of the city in search of the World Item. Ainz Ooal Gown is preparing to deal with the Black Scripture. Meanwhile, Sebas is secretly investigating the humans who were behind the cockroach invasion.

Overall, this episode sets up a lot of potential storylines for the future. We see Demiurge's grand plan for creating a new race, Ainz Ooal Gown's ongoing struggle to maintain his power, and Sebas' secret investigation. It's an exciting episode that hints at even greater conflicts to come.
