Ep 50. Good as Gold

King Mondo and Queen Machina argue with Lord Zedd and Rita over who should be the ruling evil presence in the Universe, and to Rita's surprise Zedd relents, although he has a plan in reserve. When the Rangers call on Trey of Triforia to return and take back the golden powers, he informs them that unless unification of the three Treys can take place, the powers cannot be received. Endeavoring to unify the Trey's, they align a beam from three planets to hit the Golden Power Staff at a precise time, but a band of Quadrafighters choose that very moment to attack. The transfer to Trey, however, is successful and he is once again the Gold Ranger. The other Rangers console Jason over the loss of his powers, and they all affirm that they will remain friends no matter what happens in the future. After being defeated by the Power Rangers, King Mondo and his royal court meet up with Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa on the Moon once again and are destroyed by a bomb from Lord Zedd.
