The teens are excited about going to St. Lucia to find a jewel. But their trip is put on hold when Moltor and Lava Lizards attack a truck to obtain a sub-atomic energy generator for Moltor's weather machine. A fight breaks out and as the Rangers save civilians, Moltor gets away with the device.Mack is saddened by their loss. He tries to work the new Drill Driver Zord in the base but it's too powerful. Frustrated, Mack doesn't think he should be a Ranger anymore. Andrew tells Mack he needs to continue what he started. The Rangers head out to stop Moltor from controlling the weather.The Rangers battle the Lava Lizards and Moltor shows up and tries to use the machine to destroy the Rangers.
