Ep 3. His God My God

In Saiyuki season 1 episode 3 titled "His God My God," our four protagonists - Sanzo, Goku, Gojyo, and Hakkai - find themselves in a small village where they are welcomed by the friendly locals. Things seem to be going well until they meet a young monk named Jiro who believes that Sanzo is a rival monk sent to steal his god.

Jiro explains that his god is a beautiful statue that he found in the mountains and that he has been taking care of it ever since. However, Sanzo quickly realizes that the statue is actually a powerful demon, and he urges Jiro to get rid of it before it causes any harm.

But Jiro refuses to listen and instead teams up with the demon to try and defeat Sanzo and his friends. As the battle between the two sides commences, Jiro begins to realize that his god is not what it seems, and he must make a difficult decision about who to trust.

Meanwhile, Goku gets separated from the group and stumbles upon a young girl named Rin who is being pursued by a group of bandits. Goku decides to help her and soon discovers that she is actually a demon who has been cursed with a human form.

Together, Goku and Rin team up to try and find a cure for her curse, but they soon realize that they are being followed by the same bandits who are after Rin. As they fight off their attackers, Rin begins to open up to Goku and share more about her past.

In the end, both Jiro and Rin must confront their own demons and make difficult choices in order to move forward. Sanzo and his friends continue on their journey, not realizing that they are being watched by the powerful demon they encountered earlier.

Overall, "His God My God" is an action-packed episode filled with interesting new characters and important character development for our heroes. It sets the stage for future conflicts as the group continues on their journey, and leaves viewers excited to see what comes next.
