In Shiki season 1 episode 11, "Eleventh Slaughter," the tensions between the villagers and the shiki continue to escalate as the body count rises. The villagers are growing increasingly fearful and paranoid, fueled by the fact that the shiki are able to walk among them undetected while they sleep during the day.
As the episode opens, we see Natsuno waking up to find himself in a truck with Tatsumi and Ryoko, two of the shiki. Tatsumi reveals that they are taking him to Senro Village, and that he will soon become a shiki himself. Natsuno is understandably upset by this news, but Tatsumi assures him that he will come to see the advantages of living forever.
Meanwhile, in the village, tensions are running high as the villagers prepare for another attack from the shiki. Sunako and Seishin, who are both sympathetic to the shiki, try to calm everyone down and prevent them from taking violent action. They argue that the shiki are simply trying to survive, and that killing them all will not solve the problem.
However, their efforts are in vain, as the villagers are determined to take matters into their own hands. They gather together and begin to search for shiki, breaking into homes and attacking anyone who they suspect might be one. The violence is brutal and savage, and it's clear that things are rapidly spiraling out of control.
As the night wears on, more and more shiki are killed, leading to a sense of desperation among their kind. Several of the shiki begin to question their original plan to quietly take over the village, and instead decide that they need to launch a more forceful attack in order to survive.
The tension comes to a head in the final moments of the episode, when Natsuno arrives back in the village as a shiki. He declares that he will not let the villagers continue to kill his new family, and that he will fight to protect them at all costs.
Overall, "Eleventh Slaughter" is a dark and tense episode that highlights the growing conflict between the villagers and the shiki. It's clear that neither side is willing to back down, and that the violence will only continue to escalate from here on out. As the season builds towards its conclusion, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this deadly game.
