Ep 21. The Deep End

With cop-turned-novelist Jack Stoner along to research his new book, Lipschitz is angered when, at the scene of the murder of businessman Arthur Hampton, he finds him posing as a detective and interviewing witnesses. Though warned against interfering in the case, Jack gets into more trouble when he accuses Marion Hampton of killing her husband for his money. Meanwhile, Jack's son Sam is having a clandestine affair with hisstepmother, unaware she is using him in a plan to get to her husband's fortune. But, having seen Myrna with her co-conspirator Bo Rainey, Sam then confronts his stepmother/lover, who claims she is being blackmailed.
