Ep 2. Joy Ride

The second episode of the second season of Super Friends is entitled Joy Ride. Wonder Woman suggests they go for a joy ride in the Supermobile, a high-powered vehicle that can travel through water and air as well as on land.

He informs them that an undersea volcano has erupted and is threatening to destroy an entire underwater city. Without hesitation, the Super Friends rev up the Supermobile and set off to save the day.

As they approach the underwater city, they realize that the heat from the volcano has caused the water in the surrounding area to boil and the pressure to increase, making it nearly impossible for them to reach the city. But Batman comes up with a plan to use the Supermobile to create a giant dome of cool air around the city, protecting it from the boiling water and allowing the Super Friends to enter.

Once inside the city, they are able to use their various powers to extinguish the molten lava and cool the temperature of the water. With the crisis averted, the Super Friends decide to take a victory lap around the underwater city in the Supermobile before returning home.

As they drive back to the Hall of Justice, they realize that their joy ride had turned into a heroic adventure. They decide that sometimes it's important to take a break from fighting crime and enjoy some leisure time, but they also recognize the importance of being ready to help whenever duty calls.
