Ep 7. Rita

Take Home Chef chronicles the adventures of Curtis Stone, a celebrity chef who offers his culinary expertise to everyday people in need of a delicious meal. In season 1, episode 7, Curtis meets Rita, a young woman who longs to be able to cook for her family and friends, but lacks the confidence and skills to do so. Rita just moved into a new apartment, and she wants to host a dinner party to show off her new digs, but she's afraid that her cooking skills won't be up to par.

Upon meeting Rita, Curtis immediately picks up on her lack of confidence in the kitchen, but he is determined to help her overcome her fears and create a meal that will impress her guests. He takes her to a local market to pick up fresh ingredients for their meal, and while they walk, Curtis offers tips and tricks to help Rita become a more confident and skilled cook. He teaches her how to properly choose produce and meat, and explains the importance of seasoning and proper cooking techniques.

Back at Rita's apartment, Curtis gets to work on their meal, but he makes sure to include Rita in the cooking process. He has her chop vegetables, mix sauces, and even handle some of the cooking herself. With each task, he is always encouraging and supportive, and by the time their meal is complete, Rita is feeling much more confident in her cooking skills.

The menu for the evening includes a flavorful and tender beef fillet with a tangy tomato relish, a vibrant and colorful beetroot salad with goat cheese and walnuts, and for dessert, a decadent chocolate tart with fresh berries. Curtis works his magic in the kitchen, crafting each dish with care and attention to detail, and when the meal is complete, it looks and smells absolutely amazing.

Rita's guests arrive and are impressed by the beautiful meal that she has prepared. They eagerly dive in, and as they savor each bite, they cannot help but compliment Rita on her cooking skills. She beams with pride, grateful for the newfound confidence that Curtis has helped her discover.

Throughout the evening, Curtis spends time with Rita and her guests, sharing stories and offering cooking tips and advice. He is the life of the party, and by the end of the night, everyone is laughing, smiling, and enjoying themselves immensely.

As the night comes to a close, Curtis bids farewell to Rita and her guests, and heads back to his own kitchen. He is pleased with the success of the night, knowing that he has helped Rita overcome her fears and discover a newfound love for cooking. And he is already looking forward to his next culinary adventure, eager to help more people find joy in the kitchen.
