The League of Gentlemen

The strange and often macabre village of Royston Vasey is featured in this British sitcom that sees the various characters within the village uniting to halt the building of a road that would bring in many visitors. The weird characters that inhabit the town are unsure of outsiders and often unwilling to help those who are not local to the area. The road storyline runs throughout the series and sees local shop owners Tubbs and Edward play an important role in the future of the village.
