Watching the Detectives is a documentary television series. It shows life on the street through the eyes of New York Police Department officers. Police Detectives on this show narrate the dramatic recreation of incidents which have happened on their jobs. These officers have many unique experiences through their work in this mega city with people from all over the world.

The point of view is through the police who work to solve crimes on the streets of New York. These officers have seen it all and they recall the more unique and bizarre incidents of their careers with dramatic reenactment to highlight these incidents.
