Ep 6. Holly

Holly is the focus of the sixth episode of season 8 of What Not To Wear. Holly is a 26-year-old assistant to a high-level executive of a large organization. Working in a professional environment, Holly is expected to dress appropriately and tastefully. However, Holly's wardrobe falls short of these expectations. Her clothes are either too casual or too revealing. Holly's colleagues have noticed her fashion faux pas and have brought it to the attention of Stacy and Clinton.

The episode starts with Stacy and Clinton watching Holly's day-to-day interactions in the office. They are quick to notice that her wardrobe does not reflect her professional persona. They see that Holly is dressed in a sloppy t-shirt and oversized sweats- typical of how she generally dresses. Stacy and Clinton are disturbed by what they see and cannot wait to start their mission to transform Holly's wardrobe.

Stacy and Clinton search Holly's closet and quickly realize that it's filled with old and unflattering pieces. They are also baffled by Holly's serious attachment to a particular jacket that is both outdated and unattractive. However, Holly is not willing to part with it, and this creates a tricky situation for Stacy and Clinton.

Throughout the episode, Holly undergoes numerous sessions with Stacy and Clinton, where they teach her how to properly dress for her body type and how to choose clothing that complements her position in the workplace. Additionally, they educate her on the importance of wearing accessories that correctly match the outfit and inform her of what clothing is acceptable to wear for business meetings and events.

The turning point of the episode comes when Holly is taken shopping for a new wardrobe. She initially resists some of the recommendations, but after trying on new outfits, she becomes more and more confident. Finally, she falls in love with her new outfits and realizes how they boost her self-esteem.

On the final day, Holly debuts her new wardrobe, and her coworkers, who were initially concerned with her fashion choices, are impressed by her transformation. Additionally, Holly is amazed and grateful for the changes that were made to her wardrobe and demeanor. She is noticeably happier as she leaves the show.

The season 8 episode 6 of What Not To Wear was a significant transformation for Holly, who went from wearing unflattering clothing that did not properly reflect her professional persona to wearing stylish outfits that complemented her work in the organization. Stacy and Clinton did an excellent job in convincing Holly to let go of her outdated beliefs and fully embrace her new wardrobe.
