Claire begins to settle into her new school in California, but soon realizes that fitting in with the popular crowd isn't as easy as it seems. Meanwhile, Peter seeks help from his mother to better understand his ability and her own. Mohinder's research into the genetic code brings him closer to finding a cure for the virus, but he discovers an unexpected connection to one of the other heroes. Hiro tries to come to terms with the consequences of his time-traveling adventures, while Maya and Alejandro continue their journey to the United States with surprising results. Nathan clashes with Linderman's associate, Angela, over the future of their family business. As the heroes each begin to follow their own paths, a mysterious new villain emerges with his sights set on destroying them all.
