Watch Market Warriors

The reality television show, Market Warriors, takes place in flea markets around the country with antiques pickers competing to find the best deals and turning a profit at action. Part game, part reality show, and part antique and history series, Market Warriors is a spin-off of the popular PBS show, Antiques Roadshow. This new show includes a cast of four pickers, market vendors and auction appraisers.

A cast of four pickers, Bob, Kevin, Miller and John, each from a different background within the antiques industry, gather at a well known flea or antique market to complete a variety of challenges and compete for the highest at auction profit. Each episode takes place in a different city, with auctions carried out in several different auction houses around the country. All of the episodes take place in a short period of time, with pickers battling each other and the clock to find items that are valuable and highly prized by collectors.

The two part competitions begin with a target challenge, where the auction owner will select a specific type of antique to be sold at auction. Pickers are given a specific amount of money at the start of the game, and all purchases must be made using only this money. The target challenge is timed and all members have to agree on their competitions purchases meeting all criteria. Penalties are made in the form of an item being withheld from auction along with a cash fine. The second challenge gives pickers free reign to shop the markets and choose no more than two items, of their choosing, to add to the auction.

At the end of the day, the auction house owners are given the chance to go over each purchase and decide if the item is able to be include because of authenticity. All items are placed up for a live auction as each picker competes to out sell the others. Whichever picker is able to gain the most profit on items brought to auction is deemed the winner.
