Ep 1. Day Of The Dumpster

In the first episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Specials season 1 titled "Day Of The Dumpster", we're introduced to five teenagers who are chosen by the wise sage, Zordon to become Power Rangers in order to protect the world from evil forces. The episode kicks off when Rita Repulsa, an evil sorceress who has been locked up for 10,000 years, is set free from her space dumpster prison and vows to destroy the world using her army of monsters and Putties.

Zordon has been expecting this and immediately contacts Alpha 5, his trusted robotic assistant, to go to Earth and find five "teenagers with attitude" who will become the Power Rangers and save the world from Rita. After an intense search, Alpha 5 locates the five teenagers: Jason, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, and Zack.

The teenagers are all hanging out in Angel Grove, their hometown, when they are suddenly transported to a command center where they meet Zordon, who explains the danger that the world is in and that they have been chosen to become the Power Rangers. Although skeptical at first, they eventually agree to take on the responsibility and become the Power Rangers.

Each of them is given a Power Coin, which represents one of the five elements of the universe: earth, fire, water, air, and lightning, and transforms them into their respective Power Ranger forms. The Teenagers are excited about their new abilities and quickly start to train in order to take on Rita's army of Putties.

As the teens are training, Rita sends down her first monster, a towering behemoth called Goldar, to destroy the city. The Power Rangers are caught off guard but are forced to face off against Goldar in their first real battle. They're not sure how to use their new abilities and are barely able to stand up to the powerful monster.

Just when things seem hopeless, Alpha 5 tells the Power Rangers that they can use their Zords, massive robotic animals, to fight back against Rita's monsters. The Rangers summon their Zords, which combine to form the mighty Megazord. With their new weapon, the Power Rangers are finally able to defeat Goldar and send him flying back to Rita in defeat.

Rita, who is furious about her latest defeat, returns to her space dumpster, vowing to return and destroy the Power Rangers.

In "Day Of The Dumpster", we get a chance to see the origins of the beloved Power Rangers, and the beginning of their epic battles against Rita Repulsa and her army of monsters. We see the teenagers training and getting used to their new abilities, while also dealing with the everyday challenges of being a teenager. This episode sets the stage for the rest of the series, as we watch the Power Rangers battle against a never-ending stream of enemies and save the world from evil.
