Ep 2. Buyers on the Storrm

Buyers on the Storm is the second episode of the second season of Storage Wars. The show follows a group of auctioneers and buyers who attend storage locker auctions in the hope of finding valuable and unique items.

The episode begins with the auction team arriving at their next storage locker auction in Gardena, California, where the weather is cloudy and wet. With a number of buyers in attendance, the auctioneer starts off the bidding on the first unit. The buyers catch a glance of the unit and begin to analyze it. This unit seems to be full of broken items from a previous tenant, and the consensus is that it's not worth the investment.

The second unit up for bidding appears to have a large number of furniture items, which gets the buyers' attention, especially Dave. He finds some furniture pieces that he thinks he can sell for a profit and ends up winning the locker for $800. The third unit comes with a surprise - an antique railroad heater. The bidders’ interest is piqued and it sells for $1,600, a far cry from the previous unit.

The fourth unit is a small unit with only a few items. It eventually sells for $150. The fifth unit, the last unit of the day, is a larger unit that appears to have a lot of furniture, electronics, and other items. The bidding process for this unit becomes particularly competitive, with buyers constantly pushing the price higher. Dave finally ends up winning the unit, paying $3,600.

Later, the buyers head to their respective businesses to start sorting through the items they've bought. Dave starts to sort through his purchases from the day's auction, excited that he found some valuable furniture items. Darrell also has some success with his locker, finding some old mining equipment that could be worth a lot of money.

Jarrod and Brandi, however, hit a snag while sorting through their items. At first glance, their storage unit appears to be full of clothing and other miscellaneous items. As they dig deeper, though, they realize that many of the clothes are dirty and have a foul smell coming from them. This is the challenge with storage locker auctions, as you can't always tell what the items inside will be like.

Dave, who had also spotted a vintage motorcycle in one of the storage lockers, has the bike appraised by a specialist. The appraisal comes back at around $4,500, which means Dave could potentially make a significant profit from his $3,600 purchase.

Meanwhile, Barry is checking out his own purchase - a unit full of old tools. He finds a vintage drill that he thinks could be worth a lot, but he needs to do more research to find out its true value.

The end of the episode sees Darrell trying to sell his mining equipment to a potential buyer. Dave sells one of his furniture pieces for a considerable profit and negotiates with another buyer over the price of a vintage television set. The other buyers are also busy selling their purchases, hoping to make as much money as possible from the items they won at auction.
