Ep 1. Married, Part 1

David Banner is back in action for The Incredible Hulk season 2 episode 1, a two-part season premiere called "Married." The show opens with Banner, played by Bill Bixby, looking for a job as a lab assistant at a university after spending the last year on the run. He finds an opening at the university where his friend Dr. Carolyn Field works. Carolyn, played by Mariette Hartley, also happens to be a brilliant scientist who is working on a project focused on nerve regeneration.

Banner and Carolyn quickly reconnect after not seeing each other for two years, since before David's transformation into the Hulk occurred. The two catch up on old times over a meal. David is momentarily lost in his thoughts during their conversation because of what he says is his curiosity about her current work, but the viewer suspects he might still have lingering feelings for her.

David is given a job as a lab assistant, and he and Carolyn start working on the nerve regeneration project together. Carolyn and David, who work incredibly well together, spend long hours in the lab and begin to reminisce about their past relationship. However, they both seem hesitant to take things further and explore their feelings for each other for fear of getting hurt.

Soon, David and Carolyn are joined by Carolyn's fiancé Richard Bramwell, played by Charles Siebert, who is a fellow scientist at the university and helping with the nerve-rejuvenation project. Bramwell is impatient and ambitious, and David becomes worried about the project's safety when Bramwell begins conducting experiments without the proper precautions.

David's warnings fall on deaf ears, and during a celebratory dinner for the project's apparent success, a lab accident occurs, injuring David, Carolyn, Bramwell. David transforms into the Hulk, and before anyone can get a good look, an explosion also happens. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the viewer hanging in suspense and eagerly awaiting the continuation in part two of the episode.

Overall "Married" is a suspenseful, dramatic season premiere packed full of intrigue, high stakes, and romantic tension. The show's suspenseful ending is sure to leave viewers wanting more and eagerly anticipating the continuation of the storyline with part two of the episode.
