Ep 2. Samurai Junior

Ryoma Echizen continues to adjust to his new life at Seishun Academy and is determined to prove himself as a tennis prodigy. In episode 2, "Samurai Junior," Ryoma and his teammates are introduced to a new opponent, Hikaru Amane, the captain of Fudomine Junior High School's tennis team.

Before the match begins, Hikaru demonstrates his skills by easily defeating several members of the Seishun team in practice matches. Despite this, Ryoma remains confident in his ability to win and tries to rally his teammates' spirits.

As the match begins, Ryoma is surprised to find that Hikaru plays a very different style of tennis than he's used to. Hikaru is highly skilled in the art of kendo and brings that same level of focus and precision to his tennis game. The two players engage in a fierce battle, with Ryoma struggling to keep up with Hikaru's unconventional style.

Meanwhile, Seishun's other players also struggle against Fudomine's team. Tomoka, a first-year student who has a crush on Ryoma, volunteers to play doubles with him but quickly realizes that she is outmatched by their opponents. In another match, captain Kunimitsu Tezuka faces off against Fudomine's vice-captain, who has a reputation for being ruthless on the court.

As the matches continue, Ryoma begins to understand Hikaru's playing style and adjusts his own tactics accordingly. He shows off his own impressive skills, including a move that involves hitting the ball with both his left and right hand. With his teammates cheering him on, Ryoma manages to clinch a difficult victory.

Despite the win, Ryoma holds no ill will towards Hikaru and respects his unique approach to the sport. The episode ends with the Seishun team moving on to the next round of the tournament, eager to take on new opponents and continue proving themselves on the tennis court.
