Exotic Birds serve as the inspiration for this week's L'Oreal Challenge. The designer's must really step up their game when Tim reveals that during judging they will go head-to-head with one other designer putting one in the top and one in the bottom during judging. Francisco Costa serves as guest judge for the challenge.

9. My Pet Project

This year's unconventional challenge lives up to its name when the designers arrive at a pet store. When Tim informs them that they will find all the materials they need inside, they quickly realize this is their opportunity to show the judges how they can think outside the box. Stacey Bendet (Alice + Olivia) serves as the guest judge.

8. You Can Totally Wear That Again

Designers will select real former bridesmaids--in some good, bad and tacky--bridesmaid dresses and prove that they can be worn again after they redesign the looks. But will they be able to handle the pressure when they have to showcase their work for the public? Designer Cynthia Rowley guest judges.

7. Hats Off to You

The designers are left scratching their heads when faced with Project Runway's first hat inspired challenge when they must design garments influenced by the outrageous hats designed by famed British milliner, Philip Treacy.

The designers visit the circus for their latest inspiration but whose garments will be show-stopping and whose will look clownish? Designer Cynthia Rowley guest judges.

The designers strap on their 'tool belts? to show off their 'construction? skills. But as they prepare for the runway, each designer fears they may find their way at the bottom.

4. The Fashion Farm

The designers are taken out of the city and onto a farm where they are put to the test on how innovative they can be when presented with an unusual fabric choice that leaves some designers 'exposed? for elimination.

3. The Art of Fashion

The five remaining designers were asked to create a look inspired by the Los Angeles, Getty Center. Althea, Carol Hannah and Irina were chosen to continue on and Christopher and Gordana were sent home. Guest Judges: Cynthia Rowley and Cindy Crawford

2. Fashion Headliners

The designers were taken to the Los Angeles Times, and were challenged to create an unconventional outfit made out of newspaper. Irina won the challenge and Johnny was eliminated. Guest Judges: Tommy Hilfiger and Eva Longoria Parker.

1. Welcome to Los Angeles!

The designers created a dress for a red carpet event, focusing on making a statement about who they are as a designer. Christopher was the winner of the challenge and Ari was the first designer to be eliminated. Guest Judge: Lindsay Lohan.
