Ep 14. Romeo & Juliet & Dick

In season 2, episode 14 of 3rd Rock from the Sun titled "Romeo & Juliet & Dick," the Solomons become entangled in a high school production of Romeo and Juliet.

Dick (played by John Lithgow) takes on the role of Romeo, while Sally (played by Kristen Johnston) plays Juliet. Meanwhile, Harry (played by French Stewart) is cast as the nurse and Tommy (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) as Benvolio.

As the Solomons navigate their roles in the play, they also encounter the typical teenage drama of high school. Sally falls for a student playing Tybalt, while Tommy develops a crush on the stage manager.

But the biggest problem arises when Dick and his Romeo co-star, Margie (played by Jane Curtin), can't seem to separate their on-stage romance from their real-life interactions. This causes tension between the two and threatens to derail the entire production.

In typical 3rd Rock from the Sun fashion, the Solomons' alien perspective on human behavior leads to hilarious and awkward situations. The episode also touches on themes of love, jealousy, and fitting in, making it a standout episode in the show's second season.
