Ep 5. Much Ado About Dick

In the second season of the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, the episode titled Much Ado About Dick takes a humorous look at the intricacies of dating and relationships. He's preparing for his first date with a girl he likes, but he's never been on a date before and is unsure how to act. In an effort to prepare himself, he turns to Harry, his alien uncle, for advice on how to act on a date.

As the episode progresses, the Solomons' confusion over human relationships becomes increasingly apparent. Sally, the female member of the family, deduces that Mary is in fact interested in Dick romantically, and encourages him to pursue the relationship. At the same time, Harry's advice to Tommy leads him to behave in awkward and inappropriate ways on his date, which ultimately ends in disaster.

As the episode draws to a close, Dick decides to take a chance and ask Mary out on a romantic date. The two of them seem to hit it off, but things take a turn when they discover that they have differing opinions on the Shakespearean play Much Ado About Nothing. In the end, they decide to split the difference and leave the play with mixed feelings, uncertain about the future of their relationship.

The episode showcases the humorous exploits of the Solomons as they try to navigate the confusing and often unpredictable world of human romantic relationships.
