Ep 4. Tampering

As Mikoto continues her search for the missing child, she stumbles upon a lead that takes her to a tech company where she meets an old acquaintance, the Level 5 esper Kongou Mitsuko. As the two catch up, Mikoto becomes suspicious of the company's experiments. Meanwhile, Kuroko and Uiharu investigate reports of tampering with vending machines in the city and discover evidence of a new type of hacker. As they dig deeper, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous group looking to cover up their tracks. As the two investigations unfold, Mikoto, Kuroko, and Uiharu's paths begin to intersect, leading them closer to the truth behind the disappearances and the threat facing Academy City. But as they uncover more secrets, they realize they may be in over their heads and must work together to uncover the truth and protect the city they call home.
