Ep 1. Acceleration

In the year 2046, technology has advanced to the point where people can now connect to a virtual world known as the "Neuro-Synchro System" using devices called "Neuro Linkers". This system allows people to experience an altered reality with enhanced cognitive abilities and physical agility. However, this technology is not without its drawbacks.

The first episode of Accel World season 1, titled "Acceleration", introduces us to our main character Haruyuki Arita. Haruyuki is a student in middle school who is constantly bullied by his classmates. He finds refuge in the virtual world of the "Brain Burst" game, which he plays using his Neuro Linker. Every time a player uses Acceleration, they lose some of their Burst Points, which are in-game currency used for various purposes.

Kuroyukihime reveals to Haruyuki that there is a group of players in the game known as the "Six Kings of Pure Colour", who are the strongest and most feared players in Brain Burst. These players have a monopoly on Acceleration and use it to maintain their dominance in the game.

As Haruyuki is initiated into the Black Legion, he is tasked with defeating the Red King, a member of the Six Kings of Pure Colour. Haruyuki and Kuroyukihime set out to challenge the Red King, but things don't go as planned.

The episode features stunning animation and a compelling storyline that hooks the audience right from the start. It also explores themes of bullying, social hierarchy, and the dangers of technology. The characters are well-developed, with their own unique personalities and backstories.
