Ep 4. Best in the World

In episode 4 of Btoom! (English Dubbed) season 1, titled "Best in the World", we continue to follow the story of Sakamoto Ryouta, a young man who finds himself trapped in a deadly game on a mysterious island. Alongside a group of other players, Sakamoto must use his skills in a real-life version of the popular online game, Btoom!, to survive and escape.

As the episode begins, Sakamoto and his newfound ally, Himiko, are wandering through the jungle when they hear gunfire in the distance. They quickly realize that it's coming from one of the other players, a man named Kiyoshi Taira, who has been driven to madness by the game. Taira has found a high-powered weapon and is using it to hunt down the other players in an attempt to become the "best in the world".

Sakamoto and Himiko must find a way to stop Taira before he kills them too. With Himiko's help, Sakamoto sets a trap for Taira and manages to incapacitate him, taking his powerful weapon in the process. But as they continue on their journey, they start to realize that the game is becoming more and more dangerous.

Meanwhile, we see glimpses of Sakamoto's past and his life outside of the game. He was a top-ranked player in Btoom!, but his skills in the virtual world didn't translate to success in the real world. He was unable to hold down a steady job and struggled to make friends, which led him to immerse himself more and more in the game. Now, as he fights for his life on the island, he must confront the consequences of his actions and figure out how to survive without the safety net of the virtual world.

As the episode wraps up, Sakamoto and Himiko come across a group of players who seem to have formed an alliance. But as they get closer, they realize that the group is actually a cult, led by a charismatic player named Tyrannos Japan. Tyrannos has convinced his followers that the game is a form of divine judgment and that only the strongest players will be saved. Sakamoto and Himiko are forced to fight for their lives against Tyrannos and his followers, facing not only physical obstacles but the twisted psychology of the game as well.

"Best in the World" is a tense and action-packed episode of Btoom!, exploring the darker aspects of human nature and the dangers of obsession. As Sakamoto and Himiko navigate the treacherous landscape of the island, they must confront their own limitations and learn to work together in order to survive. With each passing episode, the stakes are raised higher and the game becomes more deadly, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as they wait to see what happens next.
