Carrier is a 10 hour documentary television series that falls into the genre of documentary. This documentary television show is mainly focused around the deployment of a United States Aircraft carrier called the USS Nimitz on its journey from the United States to the middle east and then back home. Also, in this documentary it follows the Aircraft carrier called the Air Wing Eleven on its journey from California to the Persian gulf. This documentary follows both of these Carriers on a 6 month deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this documentary they will show on board footage from each of these carriers, and they will do interviews with many various crew members. These crew members talk about their own individual experiences, the concerns that they have, as well as the fears they may have. Plus, on the way one carrier stops at many various places like Hawaii, Pearl Harbor, Guam, Perth, Hong Kong, Kuala, and even Bahrain. This documentary Carrier shows what exactly these brave men and women have to endure during a typical deployment, what fears they have, the experiences each individual has faced, and all the things people would not normally see in the life of a true solider.
