This writer of pilot episode, Alfred Gough, stated that; "The characters are real and emotionally grounded, but they still like to have fun, wear great clothes, solve crime, and kick some serious ass. We hope to surprise people and bring a whole new generation to Charlie's Angels." However, due to many negative reviews of the show, ABC had to cancel the show before they even finished airing the full first season. The show had been in the works since 2009, and there had been extremely high hopes for this remake television show.
