Ep 1. The Worst One I

In the first episode of Chivalry of a Failed Knight, titled "The Worst One I," we are introduced to the main character, Ikki Kurogane. Ikki is a failed knight, constantly told by his family and peers that he is the worst. Despite this, he is determined to become a powerful Mage-Knight and make a name for himself.

The episode begins with Ikki arriving at Hagun Academy, a school for Mage-Knights where he will be training. Upon arriving, he meets a beautiful girl named Stella Vermillion. Stella is a princess who has come to Hagun Academy from overseas to train as a Mage-Knight. She is surprised to see Ikki is rooming with her, as he is the only male student at the academy, but they quickly develop a rapport.

Ikki is excited to begin his training, but he quickly learns that he has been placed in the F-Rank, the lowest rank at Hagun Academy. He is humiliated by this, as he has trained diligently to become a Mage-Knight. Despite this setback, he is determined to work hard and move up in the ranks.

The F-Rank students are placed in a separate building from the rest of the academy, which only adds to Ikki's feelings of inferiority. However, he soon meets a group of fellow F-Rank students who are just as determined as he is to improve their skills. They invite Ikki to participate in a training session with them, and he quickly shows an impressive ability to defend himself.

Stella, who is ranked much higher than Ikki, overhears this and becomes interested in him. She challenges him to a duel, which he accepts. Despite being outmatched, Ikki uses his quick thinking and unique fighting style to surprise Stella and win the match. This victory earns him a promotion to the E-Rank.

While Ikki is pleased with his progress, some of the other students at the academy are less than thrilled. One student in particular, Shizuku Kurogane, Ikki's younger sister, is upset that he is improving so quickly. Shizuku is a powerful Mage-Knight herself, but she is often overshadowed by her older brother's reputation. Despite this, she still loves and supports Ikki, and often helps him with his training.

The episode concludes with Ikki and Stella discussing their upcoming training sessions. While Ikki is excited to improve his skills, he is also eager to learn more about Stella, who he is growing increasingly fond of. Stella is equally interested in him, and it is clear that the two have formed a strong connection.

"The Worst One I" sets up the premise of Chivalry of a Failed Knight and introduces us to the main characters. Ikki is a likable protagonist who is determined to prove himself, while Stella is a strong and capable heroine who is drawn to Ikki's tenacity. The episode also establishes the hierarchy at Hagun Academy and the challenges that Ikki will have to overcome in order to achieve his goals. Overall, "The Worst One I" is an engaging and promising start to the series.
