In the season 10 episode 9 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a trip around the world to showcase a variety of international cuisine at some of America's best eateries. From a Korean-inspired dish of sweet and spicy fried chicken at a restaurant in Atlanta, to a traditional French bistro in Baltimore serving up classic beef bourguignon, Guy explores the unique flavors and techniques of global cuisine right here in the United States.

The episode kicks off at a family-owned restaurant in Houston, Texas that specializes in Caribbean food. The menu features classic Caribbean dishes like jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat - all made with recipes passed down from the owner's grandmother. Guy has the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes including a "spinner" - a fried flatbread stuffed with a mixture of curry chicken and potatoes - and a seafood platter with shrimp, scallops, and snapper served with coconut rice.

Next, Guy heads to Kansas City, Missouri to try some traditional Mexican cuisine at a popular taqueria. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, handmade tortillas and a range of flavorful fillings like al pastor, carne asada, and lengua (beef tongue). Guy tries a variety of tacos and salsas and even has a chance to make his own hand-rolled tortillas.

The international tour continues at a Korean restaurant in Atlanta that serves up a unique twist on fried chicken. The restaurant's signature dish - called "K-Town" chicken - is a sweet and spicy take on traditional fried chicken. The chicken is double-fried and coated in a sauce made with gochujang (a fermented Korean chili paste), honey, and soy sauce. Guy gives the dish his stamp of approval and also tries a hearty bowl of bibimbap - a Korean rice dish topped with an assortment of vegetables and proteins.

In Baltimore, Maryland, Guy visits a French bistro that serves up classic dishes like escargot, onion soup, and beef bourguignon. The restaurant has been family-owned for over 30 years and prides itself on using traditional French cooking techniques and locally-sourced ingredients. Guy tries the beef bourguignon - a savory stew made with beef, red wine, bacon, and vegetables - and pairs it with a glass of French red wine.

Finally, Guy heads to a Greek restaurant in Chicago that's been a neighborhood staple for over 30 years. The menu features all the classic Greek dishes like spanakopita, souvlaki, and gyros. Guy tries a meat platter that includes lamb, chicken, and beef cooked on a traditional Greek rotisserie and served with a side of tangy tzatziki sauce.

Throughout the episode, Guy highlights the unique flavors and techniques of each international cuisine and introduces viewers to a range of small, family-owned restaurants across the country. The episode serves as a reminder that even in the United States, a melting pot of cultures, there are still authentic and delicious international dishes to be found in unexpected places.
