The tour continues at Mama's Bakery, a Lebanese bakery that's been in business for over 20 years. Guy meets the owner and learns about the traditional bread-making process, which involves baking the bread in a wood-fired oven. Guy also tries some of the bakery's signature dishes, including a delicious spinach pie and baklava.
Afterwards, Guy makes a pitstop at The Pearl Hotel for a drink at their retro-themed bar. The bartender shows Guy how to make their signature cocktail, called the "Painkiller," which is a blend of dark rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice. Guy enjoys the drink and the funky atmosphere of the hotel.
For something sweet, Guy heads to Extraordinary Desserts, a bakery known for its elaborate and delicious cakes and pastries. Guy meets the owner, who shows him some of their most popular items, including a stunning chocolate cake and a colorful fruit tart. Guy can't resist trying a few of the desserts himself.
Finally, Guy ends his tour at Phil's BBQ, a San Diego staple that's been around for over 20 years. The owner shows Guy how they make their signature barbecue sauce and cooks up some of their famous ribs and pulled pork. Guy can't get enough of the smoky and flavorful meat, which he says is some of the best barbecue he's ever had.
Overall, "All San Diego, All the Time" is a delicious and informative tour of some of the best eats in San Diego. Guy Fieri does a great job of showcasing the unique flavors and local institutions that make the city's food scene so special.
