Ep 1. Return of Wind

In the first episode of Kaze No Stigma, titled "Return of Wind," viewers are introduced to the main protagonist of the series, Kazuma Yagami. A powerful wind magic user, Kazuma returns to his home in Japan after being banished for four years by his own family, the Kannagi clan. The clan had previously banished Kazuma due to his inability to control and master the powerful flames of his Fire Magic. However, in his absence, Kazuma had trained and honed his wind powers to become one of the strongest wind magic users in the world.

As the episode begins, Kazuma's younger cousin, Ayano Kannagi, is leading a team of elite Kannagi clan members in a battle against a powerful fire elemental. However, despite their best efforts, all their attacks prove to be ineffective, and the elemental continues to wreak havoc on the city. It is only when Kazuma shows up, using his powerful wind magic that the elemental is finally defeated.

This leads to a tense family reunion between Kazuma and the Kannagi clan, with many clan members shocked at the level of power that Kazuma possesses. Ayano, however, is less than pleased to see Kazuma, still harboring ill feelings towards him after he was banished for supposed cowardice. Despite their past, Ayano's father, the leader of the Kannagi clan, has a task for Kazuma that only he can accomplish - to investigate the sudden appearance of a powerful wind user who has been attacking the Kannagi clan's businesses.

Kazuma, still disillusioned with the clan, initially refuses to help but eventually relents after a surprising twist. Along with Ayano, who also wants to prove herself as a strong fighter, Kazuma begins to investigate the mysterious wind user and uncovers a shocking truth about their identity. Meanwhile, Kazuma's former flame, Tsui Ling, appears in Japan looking for him and his help in taking down a dangerous organization that is experimenting with magic.

"Return of Wind" sets up a compelling world with complex characters and interesting political dynamics between the different magic users and clans. The animation and fight scenes are well done, and the sound design adds to the overall atmosphere. The episode also sets up several intriguing plot threads that make the audience invested in the series' overarching storyline. Overall, it's an exciting start to what looks to be a promising anime series.
