Ep 2. The $12,000 Lie

In Love After Lockup season 2 episode 2 entitled The $12,000 Lie, we see some of the couples continue their journey after reuniting following their partner's release from prison. The episode follows each couple as they navigate their new lives outside of prison walls, and in some cases, the shocking truths they uncover along the way.

One couple, Lizzie and Scott, have an argument in a car after Lizzie demands money from Scott. Clint becomes worried and starts to search for her, but no one knows where she has gone. As the day unfolds, Tracie reappears with a secret that could end their relationship for good.

Another couple, Marcelino and Brittany, also feature in this episode. So far, Marcelino has been portrayed as a model partner, but we see a different side to him in this episode. Marcelino becomes extremely enraged after Brittany spends money on makeup, calling her out for her previous drug addiction and telling her she doesn't have the right to spend money on such items. Brittany becomes emotional and we see the first signs of strain in their relationship.

The final couple featured in this episode is Megan and Michael. Megan continues to believe that Michael is her soulmate, and Michael is torn between his loyalty to Megan and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. Michael tells Megan he loves her, but we see him continuing to interact with his ex-girlfriend behind Megan's back.
