Ep 2. Priestess... of the Melody

Ten-year-old Rikka Takanashi is a self-proclaimed magical girl with delusions of grandeur. She believes that she possesses a magical eye that can see through lies and illusions, and that she is destined to save the world from evil. Her classmates have nicknamed her "The Tyrant's Eye" due to her imposing demeanor and unconventional behavior.

In episode 2 of season 1, titled "Priestess... of the Melody," Rikka's delusions are put to the test when she discovers that her classmate Yuuta Togashi, who has also admitted to having chunibyo (a term used to describe individuals who exhibit delusional behavior) in the past, has thrown away his old "Dark Flame Master" persona. Rikka is devastated and finds it difficult to accept Yuuta's rejection of his former self.

Meanwhile, Rikka's younger sister, Toka, is concerned about her sister's behavior and enlists the help of Yuuta to try and snap Rikka out of her delusions. Together, they hatch a plan to convince Rikka to give up her chunibyo ways and focus on reality.

As part of the plan, Yuuta invites Rikka to tag along with him to visit his friend Shinka Nibutani, who used to be a fellow chunibyo but has since moved on. Rikka is initially resistant, but eventually agrees to go.

Upon arrival, they discover that Shinka is preparing for a performance as the lead singer in their school's cultural festival. Rikka becomes entranced by Shinka's beautiful singing voice and begins to see her as a sort of mystical priestess. She believes that Shinka's voice has the power to heal the world and vows to protect her at all costs.

However, Rikka's delusions soon get her into trouble when she becomes convinced that a classmate is attempting to sabotage Shinka's performance. She storms into a room, convinced that she will find evidence of foul play, but instead discovers something that shatters her beliefs.

"Priestess... of the Melody" is a touching episode that explores Rikka's struggle to accept reality and let go of her chunibyo ways. It also delves deeper into the relationships between the characters and sets the stage for future conflicts and resolutions. With its blend of comedy and heartwarming moments, this episode is a must-watch for fans of Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions.
