Save Me! Lollipop
- 1 Season
Save Me! Lollipop or Momotte! Lollipop is an anime that was based on a Shojo Manga series created by Michiyo Kikuta. The manga was first published by Kodansha in Japanese magazine Nakayoshi from 2003 to 2005. This fantasy romantic comedy aired in July 2006 and ended September 2006. In its two month run on television Save Me! Lollipop had 13 episodes made. Sunrise was the studio responsible for producing the anime. In the year 2006, Del Ray made an important announcement at Comic-Con stating that it had acquired the full rights to the anime. Their ownership was short-lived because, in 2008 Funamation made it known to the public that they were now in possession of all rights toward that anime. In Save Me! Lollipop a seventh grader by the name of Nina Yamada (voiced by Brittany Karbowski)hopes to find the boy of her dreams that will one day sweep her off of her feet. On a day that seems typical as other days she normally deals with, Nina is given a cake. Sitting on top of the cake was an object that resembled a piece of candy. She accidently swallows the object that looks like candy but soon finds out that the thing that she swallowed was really a Crystal Pearl. This pearl is the objective of many sorcerers who want to pass their examination, so now she becomes the target for the sorcerers to find. While going through this whole misunderstanding, she runs into two wizards (Zero and Echii) that decide to help protect her so that a potion can be made to remove the pearl from her body. More bad news comes her way when the gang finds out that it will take six months to create the potion. So now with a timeframe given, the two wizards work hard on guarding Nina from the dangers that they will face in six months.
