Ep 23. The Birth (1)

Paul and Jamie Buchman are about to become parents. In the first part of the season finale, titled "The Birth (1)," the couple nervously awaits the arrival of their first child. Paul's parents, Sylvia and Burt, arrive to lend their support, but also to drive Paul crazy with their well-intentioned but overbearing interference. Meanwhile, Jamie's sister, Lisa, tries to keep things light-hearted by bringing a bag full of bizarre items to the hospital, including an inflatable Elvis Presley. As Jamie goes into labor, she and Paul must navigate the ups and downs of childbirth, including the unexpected arrival of a new obstetrician. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the Buchmans anxiously await the birth of their baby.
