In this episode of Man v. Food, host Casey Webb travels to Kansas City, Missouri to take on some of the biggest, heartiest, and most delicious meals in the Midwest.

The first stop on Casey's food adventure is Q39, a BBQ restaurant that's been voted the best in Kansas City. Here, Casey takes on the daunting task of tackling the "Mega Meat Challenge," which consists of an enormous platter piled high with KC-style burnt ends, pulled pork, sausage, beef brisket, and a giant slab of ribs. To add to the pressure, Casey only has one hour to finish the entire platter, including a side of fries, a side of slaw, and a giant slice of Texas toast. Will he be able to handle the heat and finish this mammoth meal?

Next, Casey visits Jones Bar-B-Q in the heart of Kansas City's historic African American neighborhood. Here, he tries the restaurant's famous burnt ends, which are smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. Casey also learns about the history of Jones Bar-B-Q, which has been serving up BBQ since the 1800s and is known for being one of the oldest, continuously operating black-owned businesses in the country.

After all that barbecue, Casey switches things up with a visit to Grinders in the Crossroads Arts District. This eclectic restaurant serves up gourmet burgers, pizzas, and sandwiches, along with an array of quirky drinks and cocktails. Casey takes on the "Ghostface Killah" burger, which is piled high with jalapeno peppers, habanero sauce, and ghost pepper cheese. It's so spicy that Casey has to wear gloves while handling it, and even takes some time to recover after taking a few bites.

For his final challenge in Kansas City, Casey heads to the city's beloved sandwich shop, Town-Topic Hamburgers. Here, he takes on the "Big T," a massive burger made with two giant patties, cheese, bacon, and all the fixings. To make things even more challenging, Casey has to eat his Big T alongside a platter of onion rings and fries. Will he be able to finish this classic Kansas City burger before his stomach throws in the towel?

Throughout the episode, Casey also explores the history and culture of Kansas City, checking out iconic landmarks like the Kansas City Jazz Museum and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. He meets locals who share their love of KC's unique food scene and shares his own tips and tricks for taking on some of the city's biggest culinary challenges.

Overall, Man v. Food's Kansas City episode is a must-watch for anyone who loves BBQ, burgers, and other hearty Midwestern fare. Casey's energetic personality and love of food make for an entertaining and engaging show that will have you craving a trip to Kansas City in no time.
