Ep 2. Newark, New Jersey

In Season 12 Episode 2 of Man v. Food, host Casey Webb heads to Newark, New Jersey to tackle some of the city's most famous food challenges. Casey starts off by visiting a local hot dog joint where he tries to eat a giant hot dog topped with all sorts of crazy ingredients. The hot dog is so big that it barely fits in its bun, and Casey struggles to finish it off in time.

Next, Casey visits a diner where he takes on a massive breakfast challenge. He has to eat three stacks of pancakes, each one topped with a different type of fruit and syrup, as well as a giant omelet filled with all sorts of delicious fillings. The challenge is so big that it takes up an entire platter, and Casey has a tough time trying to finish it all.

After that, Casey heads to a local Italian restaurant where he tries a classic Jersey dish – the Pork Roll sandwich. This sandwich is made with a special type of ham that's unique to the region, and it's served with eggs, cheese, and other toppings. Casey devours the sandwich and proclaims it to be one of the best things he's ever tasted.

Following his Pork Roll sandwich, Casey heads to a BBQ joint where he tries out some of the best southern-style ribs in the city. These ribs are cooked low and slow, and they're coated in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce that's out of this world. Casey has his work cut out for him as he tries to devour a huge platter of ribs, but he manages to finish the challenge just in time.

Finally, Casey heads to a local bakery where he tries a famous dessert that's often associated with Newark – The Waffle Sundae. This dessert consists of a warm waffle topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and all sorts of delicious toppings. Casey can barely contain his excitement as he takes a bite of this incredible treat, and he proclaims Newark to be one of the best food destinations in the country.
